Lenten Prep

Lent is almost upon us, and perhaps it’s just me, but I’m super excited for this season. Maybe it’s because it’s the first in 4 years that I have been neither pregnant nor newly postpartum. I’m honestly looking forward to being able to choose my own sacrifices this year! I thought I’d share with you some of the resources our family is going to be using this year to help us dive deeper into Lenten graces.

Best part of all- you can get them all in the same place!

I am beyond thrilled to be a part of Catholic Mom Bundle’s Lenten Bundle (that link is an affiliate link, so please, if you’re thinking of purchasing, use it and help me out!). It is an easily downloadable bundle of resources for Moms that were created by 15 Catholic bloggers and artisans. Seven of the resources included are designed to make diving into Lent easier. The others touch on all aspects of life. Seriously, this thing has it all- from embroidery patterns to a wonderful e-book on self-care. This is a flash sale, from today until March 1st, and while you can find all of these items for sale separately, you’ll have to spend quite a bit more than $25 to do it.

I personally love the printables included from Kendra Tierney at Catholic All Year. As always, she has great ideas for creating a Lenten experience that engages all the senses. I’ve already started prepping our bean jars. If our hay in the manger for Jesus at Christmas was anything to go by, William and Gianna are going to love them.

How gorgeous are these printables from Catholic Paper Goods?

I also love the Lenten Journal for Moms written by Ginny Kochis. Not only is it beautifully designed visually, but Ginny effortlessly melds the spiritual and the practical together, calling us to do, ponder, and grow through the season, along with our children.

And if you need another reason to purchase said bundle, then get even more psyched because it includes a set of Montessori 3 part cards for the Stations of the Cross and a simple stations meditations booklet for families with young children, both of which were created by yours truly. My kiddos have gotten little glimpses of them, but our copy of the cards still needs to be laminated before it hits the shelves, because William isn’t always gentle.

Even if I wasn’t a part of this bundle, I would still recommend it. The products are just that worthwhile. Not to mention the fact that it is all right there, and all you have to do is download and print them? No trips to the store? or hunting through the internet for the perfect craft or activity? or purchase of yet another book on Amazon? That, right there, is worth a heck of a lot to me.
